In the realm of contemporary architecture, the harmonious integration of innovation and environment represents a central goal for many design studios. In this interview, we delve into this dialogue with Enrico Giacopelli from GStudio<\/strong>, a studio distinguished for its attentive and creative approach to architectural design<\/strong>. Through a diverse range of projects, GStudio has established itself in the field of high-altitude building design<\/strong>, healthcare construction<\/strong>, and contemporary building restoration<\/strong>, demonstrating a consistent commitment to architectural quality and energy efficiency.<\/p>\n We started open to any possibility, but over time, we have focused on specific fields. First of all, we deal with high-altitude building design<\/strong>, such as alpine refuges, an area in which we have a lot of experience. Additionally, we work in the field of healthcare construction<\/strong> for both public and private entities and dedicate ourselves to the restoration of contemporary buildings<\/strong>, a very active and interesting area for us.<\/p>\n One of the projects I like to mention is the restoration of a 1950s villa in Ivrea<\/strong>, part of the UNESCO site<\/strong> of Olivetti architectures. We brought this villa from a very low energy class to a class B, maintaining its original aesthetic and functional characteristics. This project is an example of our commitment to preserving architectural quality while improving energy efficiency.<\/strong><\/p>\n Recently, we completed the expansion of an industrial building in Valle d’Aosta<\/strong>, in front of the Forte di Bard. We used greenery to visually integrate the building into the landscape<\/strong>, but also as a functional element to create a local microclimate<\/strong> that controls the building’s temperature during the summer. We believe that greenery is not just decoration but a true design tool.<\/p>\n “Listening<\/strong><\/em>” is fundamental for us.
