They can provide a wide range of\u00a0<strong>environmental<\/strong>, social and economic benefits and are indispensable for both\u00a0<strong>climate change<\/strong>\u00a0mitigation and adaptation<\/p>\n<h2><strong>ABOUT PROGIREG<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/progireg.eu\/\">proGIreg project<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>is funded by the European Commission under the\u00a0<strong>Horizon 2020 programme<\/strong>\u00a0and will run from June 2018 until 2023. ProGIreg stands for \u2018productive Green Infrastructure for post-industrial urban regeneration\u2019: nature for renewal;\u00a0the project aims to\u00a0<strong>finance public projects<\/strong>\u00a0that adopt Nature Based Solutions as a method of regeneration of urban areas.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>OUR CONTRIBUTION TO THE PROJECT<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>municipality of Turin<\/strong>\u00a0is the only Italian city to be part of the Progireg project by which it will complete various regeneration actions in the southern Mirafiori area.<\/p>\n<p>Verde Profilo was chosen, among other competitors, to install its\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/verdeprofilo.com\/en\/vertical-gardening\">green walls<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0in two very symbolic points of the city: a\u00a0<strong>night shelter for the homeless<\/strong>\u00a0and an\u00a0<strong>elementary school<\/strong>. As stated in the European Commission study\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/documentcloud.adobe.com\/link\/review?uri=urn:aaid:scds:US:6190734f-ba4d-4421-a87c-bd107b80b6fd\"><strong>downloadable here<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, our system was chosen because it was considered \u201c<strong>the easiest to maintain technology<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>We are very proud to be able to contribute to such a\u00a0<strong>pioneering project<\/strong>\u00a0that will allow citizens of all ages to live together with nature.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the green walls will be the subject of\u00a0<strong>measurements by Arpa Piemonte<\/strong>\u00a0and this will allow us to have\u00a0<strong>reliable data about the impact of greenery on indoor and outdoor air quality.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The works started this week, November 2020, and we can&#8217;t wait to show you the final result.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/op.europa.eu\/en\/publication-detail\/-\/publication\/d75b2354-11bc-11eb-9a54-01aa75ed71a1\/language-en\/format-PDF\/source-166334197\">here<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>the entire study.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The European commission has recently released a\u00a0study\u00a0that lists the successful cases of Nature Based Solutions implementation in public procurement.
