For this reason, in 2009, we launched and patented our\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #000000;\" title=\"MOSS Wall\" href=\"https:\/\/verdeprofilo.com\/en\/mosswall\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MOSSwall, the Verde Profilo system for stabilized moss<\/a><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>HOW IS STABILIZED MOSS CREATED?<\/h2>\n<p>Stabilized moss is a\u00a0<strong>mixture of lichens immersed in a salt bath<\/strong>: the saline particles progressively replace the lymph and thus inhibit photosynthesis and growth. The\u00a0<strong>plant<\/strong>, therefore,\u00a0<strong>no longer needs either sun or water because it is \u201ccrystallized\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>stabilized lichens are antistatic<\/strong>, do not attract dust, and are\u00a0<strong>antibacterial<\/strong>, so\u00a0<strong>they do not generate bad odours<\/strong>\u00a0or become problematic for the hygiene of spaces. The stabilized moss resembles that of the \u201ccrib\u201d in appearance, but instead of being synthetic it is composed of natural lichens.<\/p>\n<p>MOSSwall is a solution\u00a0<strong>designed only for interiors<\/strong>: we do not recommend stabilized moss for outdoor use because a\u00a0<strong>humidity level of 40% is required for its survival<\/strong>. If there is a change in this percentage, the plant crystallizes and can crumble to the touch. The lichens re-stabilize themselves, but should the necessity of an intervention arise, Verde Profilo provides repair kits.<\/p>\n<h2>STABILIZED INDOOR MOSS DOES NOT REQUIRE MAINTENANCE<\/h2>\n<p>Another\u00a0<strong>advantage of stabilized moss is that it does not require special maintenance<\/strong>: it doesn\u2019t have to be watered or exposed to direct sunlight, and for this reason it is ideal for furnishing even dimly lit environments, which can be enhanced with a strong visual impact.\u00a0<strong>It can be installed on walls or ceilings in various shapes and sizes<\/strong>. It is possible to choose between 23 shades, from the Ocean, Forest, Desert, White Black and Grey lines.<\/p>\n<p>Installation is quick and easy: it is possible to mount MOSSwall in direct contact with the wall by means of a dowel system, or use wall-mounted structures on which the panels with lichens can be attached.
